The Dunbar Haunted House had a really huge line-up on October 16th! The line-up took me about 30 minutes to get through and it was worth it.
The owner of the house was the one letting people in, and his family has been putting up this haunted house for about 7 years now.
The actual haunted house was not lame at all. It was beautifully decorated, and can very much compete with other haunted houses. I don’t want to spoil anything for anyone, but it is best to go at night, after 6:30 pm, when live actors (who are volunteers) are there to scare you off your pants. It’s a guessing game on which characters are real, and when you least expect it, someone will pop out of nowhere to make you scream. But of course, they do have an exit, in case you can no longer handle your fright. And please enter the haunted house at least, since they have a tally board on how many people chicken out even before they enter the haunted house! Embarrassing much?!
Can you believe that it is actually FREE to enter the haunted house? But of course, they are great folks accepting donations to support the following local charities: B.C. Professional Fire Fighters’ Burn Fund, the Christmas Bureau, and the Vancouver Police Union Charity Foundation. Since it is going to three great causes, the obvious choice to make is to donate.
So get in the Halloween mood and check out this crazy cool Dunbar Haunted House! Support your local community and have a blast doing it…just watch out for whoever’s behind you…just sayin.
